AKHST and (AFD) are partnering on a new innovative comprehensive cancer project aiming at strengthening cancer care in Tanzania through PPP with Tanzanian-based CCP partners: (Ministry of Health. Community Development. Gender Elderly and Children (MoHCDGEC), Ocean Road Cancer Research Institute (ORCI). Bugando Medical Centre (BMC) and Muhimbili National Hospital with technical support from Institute Curie in delivering a full range of cancer services. The Tanzania Comprehensive Cancer Project (TCCP). proposed high-quality, evidence-based comprehensive initiative aimed at reducing the burden of cancer morbidity and mortality in two target regions (Dar es Salaam and Mwanza).
The project’s 4 major components include a) Improve and expand existing oncology infrastructure to provide more comprehensive oncology care through health systems strengthening, b) build the capacity of staff in participating institutions to provide high quality cancer care by trained specialists, and tram and retain local professionals through accredited programs: c) strengthen community cancer care practices by delivering affordable, comprehensive health care services for preventive services including primary prevention, screening, and early detection and d) develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and participating institutions on joint research agenda and initiatives.
Job Title: CLINICAL AND QUALITY COORDINATOR – (1 POSITION)
POSITION SUMMARY
Clinical Coordinator will responsible for facilitating and coordinating a highly skilled multidisciplinary team to deliver quality of care, ensure quality program across the cancer care continuum through standards and guidelines, ensure effective referral and feedback systems for cancer patients and effective utilization of resources to meet the project objectives, lead the team in quality improvement initiatives to ensure delivery of safe and quality patient care. The coordinator will facilitate clinical staff trainings and development programmes in relation to project needs, lead in performance management Initiatives through staff feedback sessions and training and development programmes.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor Degree (specifically in clinical field or relevant).
- Master’s Degree in Public Health will be an added advantage.
- At least 6 years’ experience with minimum 3 years’ experience in Oncology care and management.
- Certification in BLS. ACLS. PALS, and NRP will be added advantage with respect to clinical specialty.
- Ability to teach, supervise & mentor the staff and evaluate staff performance.
- Possesses sound knowledge and skills of problem-solving/decision making and crisis management.
- Ability to counsel the staff.
- Familiarity with the concepts of Quality improvement activities of institution.
- Able to use a computer and the Microsoft office packages proficiently.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
