Job Title: Underground Bogger Operator
Location: 
Geita Gold Mine, Geita
Position purpose:
This position is responsible for loading and dumping cycles to and from development and production areas, allocated stockpiles, and haulage trucks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Bog development headings and stockpiles to trucks;
• Keep trucks operating at full efficiency ensuring all ore, low grade, marginal and waste are kept separate;
• Bog out and clean faces. This may also include inspecting for mis-fires including notification to Shift Supervisor, hosing down and scaling;
• Remote Bog from open stopes using RCT 2200 Tele-Remotes;
• Tram material from stockpiles and other bogging duties as required;
• Backfilling Stopes with Rockfill, Cement Aggregate Fill (CAF) and Cement Rock Fill (CRF);
• Keep all roads in working area tidy and free from pooling water and other potential hazards;
• Manual and tele-remote bogging of production stopes to stockpiles.
• Sound Mechanical knowledge of Boggers and Trucks.

Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years’ Underground experience in Hard Rock mining in a mechanised mine operating U/G Haulage equipment;
• Experience with Cat 2900 Loaders;
• Experience with RCT 2200 Series Tele-Remote Boggers;
• Backfilling Stopes with Rockfill, Cement Aggregate Fill (CAF) and Cement Rock Fill (CRF);
• Valid Tanzanian Driver’s License;
• Flexibility and willingness to assist with varied tasks and responsibilities;
• Strong safety and hazard identification.

Job Title: Local Content Specialist
Location: 
Geita Gold Mine, Geita
Position purpose:
The purpose of the Local Content Specialist is to plan and implement policies and procedures that will enable AUMS to comply with Tanzanian local content laws and ensure AUMS’s sustainability as a preferred underground mining contractor within Tanzania.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Must ensure that all relevant legal requirements related to local content are adhered to across the supply chain function and accurate reports provided to the relevant authorities.
• Keep abreast of all relevant government guidelines and legislation.
• Raise legislative changes and non-compliance with the management team, providing solutions for changes requiring implementation.
• Coordinate the compilation of the periodic reports from other functions into a predetermined template.
• Seek opportunities for improvement in relation to Training, Research and Development, Investments in Infrastructure, Immigration and New Technologies that can contribute to the growth ofTanzanian content in the underground mining industry.
• Participate in management meetings and official governmental committee’s related to local content.
• Develop mechanisms and improvements to the periodic reports on local content performance against the statutory requirements.

Essential Requirements:
• Degree qualified in either Legal/Commercial/Supply.
• Previous experience in East African Communities having accountability for Local Content Compliance
• Strong and demonstrable commitment to safety, quality and the continuous improvement in the company’s local content plan.
• 8+ years’ work experience in multinational organisations.
• Must have high level analytical and problem solving skills, along highly developed management skills.
• High level of personal and professional integrity.
• Must be able to work independently as required and interact frequently with other functions within the organisation and third parties.
• Must be fluent in English both verbally and written.

Job Title: Longhole Driller
Location:
 Geita Gold Mine, Geita
Position purpose:
This position is responsible in carrying out Underground production drilling of various sized holes, and other tasks directed by the Shift Supervisor.

Key Accountabilities:
• Complies with all HS&E policies, procedures and instructions. This includes the correct use of safety devices and protective equipment, prompt reporting of any hazardous situations, which they cannot themselves correct, making the necessary changes to eliminate or control the hazard and reporting immediately any accident or injury which arises in the course of their work.
• Complies with relevant Mines Safety Acts and Regulations.
• Takes reasonable care for their own safety and that of other persons who may be affected by their acts.
• Performs pre-start checks and SWICs.
• Ensuring inspections and maintenance is carried out on all equipment before use.
• Ensures that all tools are serviceable and safe.
• Must Work to minimise equipment downtime and maximise productivity.
• Must carry out standard work place inspection practices and procedures and prepare the areas for drilling, charging or scraping in accordance with mine safety procedures.
• Maintains a high standard of housekeeping.
• Liaises with the underground shift supervisor to:
• Ensure all work is done in a safe and efficient manner;
• Advise when items of equipment are out of service and when they can be returned to service.

Key Performance Tasks include:
• Accurately drilling a series of Long holes to a design pattern using a mechanised drill.
• Reads and accurately follows mine instruction plans with skill and precision ensuring holes are drilled to design line, gradient and profile.
• Communicate with surveyors, geologists and engineers to optimise drill patters and metres.
• Set up and troubleshoot on Long hole Drill rigs.
• Accesses face conditions at the start of the job and scale from height according to site requirements.
• Recording Information

Essential Requirements:
• A demonstrated passion for safety and a proactive attitude toward ensuring that safety is front of mind for all employees at all times.
• A minimum of 12 months experience solely as an Underground Long hole Driller.
• Knowledge of Underground Mining Practices and the efficient operation of an Underground Long hole Machine.
• Highly organised and able to work efficiently with limited supervision.
• Basic First Aid
• Valid Tanzanian Driver’s License;
• Completed secondary school
