Position: Project Driver
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Reports to: Operations Officer
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Safely operate EpiC vehicle in accordance with Tanzania Traffic Laws
2. Carry out different inspection of the vehicle before driving such as checking of coolant, oils and other fluids.
3. Carry out minor vehicle repairs and other emergency activities such as flat tyres during any road breakdowns.

4. Update all vehicle documents such as car registration and insurance.
5. Maintain a car logbook, fuel and oil requisition book and prepare a logbook summary each day.
6. Maintain cleanliness of the motor vehicle.
7. Collect and deliver documents, parcels or mails as directed by the supervisor.
8. Perform other work related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Key Outputs:
- Well kept and maintained allocated vehicle.
- Transport services provided to project staff and official visitors.
- Observed traffic rules and defensive driving.
- Vehicle logbook and other documentation kept up to date
- Accurate and timely delivery of project documents, mails and parcels.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
- Clear Class C driving license
- Certificate of Secondary Education
- Certificate from a reputable Driving College
- Long distance driving experience
- At least two years’ experience as a driver, with preference for experience with USAID or other International Organization
- Basic knowledge in mechanics and vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Good English and Swahili communication skills required.
- Ability to work under pressure and longer hours when periodically required.
- Good teamwork and interpersonal relations.
- Ability to deal appropriately with sensitive issues and maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
Job Title: Clinical Results (CR) Manager (3 Posts)
Job Description
Location: 3 posts (Dodoma; Mbeya; Mwanza)
Reports to: Senior Zonal Technical Advisor
Specific Responsibilities:
- Targeted HIV Testing: Support the sites to implement high-impact HIV testing strategies (Optimized PITC and Index Testing)
- Viral Load (VL) And Suppression: Support site-level HIV Viral Load Testing activities including scheduling HVL testing; fill-out of HVL request forms; sample collection and coordination sample transportation and VL results, including updating of results in respective paper and electronic registers
- PLHIV Retention: Directly engage in site-level improvement of PLHIV Retention; including tracking of ‘missapp’ and LTFU clients; proper categorization of PLHIV (stable/unstable) as well as supporting clinical management in ART adherence counselling; provision of TB preventive therapy (TPT).
- Data Management: Support site -level documentation of PLHIV tracking outcomes. Also support data collection, appropriate documentation; and submission of project reports including weekly; monthly; and quarterly data.
- Coordination role: This will include – a) Identification of site-specific challenges and needs and communicating proposed actions to supervisor for action; b) Coordinating availability of site-level need of care and treatment tools and job aides, including guidelines, SOPs, and other related documents; 3) Facilitate site-level meetings, capacity-building visits and trainings; 4) Collaborate with both technical and monitoring and evaluation staff to monitor and evaluate contribution of trainings, support supervision and mentorship activities to service delivery outcomes
- Other duties: Perform other technical and operational tasks fitting project needs as communicated
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in Medicine or Public Health or related field with at least 2 years’ HIV/AIDS Care and Treatment work experience (especially within the context of direct service delivery, or quality assurance/quality management. Improve retention of PLHIV on ART

The data clerk will be responsible for the following tasks and deliverables:
- Enter patient information, family information, visits, and laboratory results, and other patients’ records into CTC2 database;
- Review the accuracy and completeness of patients’ records in CTC2 cards, CTC2 database and other patient monitoring tools and work with CTC staff to correct the identified gaps;
- Ensure all the patients’ records (paper-based and electronic) are properly stored and handled appropriately – according to the National NACP guidelines on confidentiality of patients records;
- Timely collect and submit facility data to the data manager on weekly, monthly, quarterly and semi-annual bases;
- Produce list of missed appointment (missap) and lost-to-follow up (LTFU) at least weekly, collaborate with CTC staff and community-based health service (CBHS) providers to track patients, and update their status in their files and CTC2 database based on the tracking outcome;
- Prepare list of patients who are eligible for HVL on weekly basis from the CTC2 database, share with CTC staff and ensure all HVL samples collected and results received are documented in relevant tools (HVL register and CTC2 cards) and entered into CTC2 database in a timely manner;
- Perform data quality audit weekly by harmonizing patients records across patient monitoring tools (ART register, ARV dispensing register, appointment register, CTC2 cards and CTC2 database) and work with CTC staff to rectify inconsistencies, if any;
- Ensure that all IPT records (start and completion) are documented in IPT register, CTC2 cards and CTC2 database on time;
- Back up the CTC2 database on weekly and store backup file off-site;
- Ensure updated version of CTC2 database is running as per NACP requirements and export the CTC2 database to CTC3 Macro as required.
- Ensure all standard operating procedures on data management are available, displayed and followed;
- Work closely with other facility staff to provide quality services to clients attending the clinic;
- Participate in data quality assessment with project staff, R/CHMT and USAID- commissioned implemented partner;
- Respond on time to any data-related requests from the project
- Provide all the data-related support needed in the facility and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications and personal attributes required:
- A Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics or Records Management with at least 2 years’ experience in health facility environment;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel;
- Experience and skills in using CTC2 database;
- Understanding of data administration and management functions;
- An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills, sound judgement and attention to detail and quality;
- Strong written and oral communication skills in both Swahili and English;
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines;
- Good interpersonal and listening skills;
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff and patients in a professional manner.
