private sector to find effective ways to fight poverty.
We work closely with local communities, who actively
participate in all the decisions about our work.
Typically, our staff are from the local area, can speak the
local language and have a deep understanding of the local context.
Salary: £81,000 – £86,000

We are looking for a Director of Programmes who has outstanding technical expertise in one or more of our priority strategic approaches, the integrity, maturity and confidence to inspire and motive a team of specialists; and who has a real passion for sustainable rural development in Africa.
The Director of Programmes will lead the work to build our portfolio of high-quality programmes, ensuring that they deliver maximum impact for the communities we work with. You will demonstrate a deep understanding of Farm Africa’s work, an excellent understanding of programme finances, have exceptional people management skills and a wealth of experience of being an envoy for the organisation and influencing donors.
We have an ambitious strategy to deepen our impact over the next five years. We’ll reach more people; lift more communities out of poverty; work with more corporate partners who share our vision; and, open up more agricultural markets.
