Overview:Grumeti Reserves is looking for highly qualified and motivated candidate to fill the position of Human Resources Officer. The position holder will report directly to the Human Resources Manager – Strategic Business Unit.
POSITION: Human Resources Officer (HRO)
DEPARTMENT: HUMAN RESOURCES
DUTY STATION: SERENGETI, MARA REGION, TANZANIA
REPORTING LINE: HR MANAGER
Job Purpose:
Human Resources Officer (HRO) is a multi-disciplined individual primarily tasked with implementing the day to day Human Resource duties in HR Department. She / he will be working as part of the HR team to support HR functions of the companies. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager-Strategic Business Units, the HR Officer is responsible for providing support in the various human resources functions, including recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring and employee counselling.
Scope of Work:
• Plan, implement and manage the overall Talent Acquisition strategy
• Provide counselling and support on policies and procedures
• Create, implement and manage on boarding plans
• Track implementation of the HR department KPIs
• Plan and implement staff training programs in line with the budget
• Regular update of staff data in the system
• Assist in performance management and employee performance evaluation
• Maintaining employee records and paperwork
• Adhere to labour laws and regulations
• Drawing up plans for future personnel hiring procedures and goals
• Organize and attend Disciplinary Hearing meetings
• Continuous training and supporting staff in understanding of the labour laws, company policies and procedures
• Oversee employee benefits and compensation
• Tracking and assisting to process Work permits applications for expatriate staff
• Any other duties as my be guided by the HR Manager or Head of the department
Qualifications and Experience:
• At least 2 years of experience as an HR Officer or similar HR role
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field
• Additional HR education and certification will be a plus
• Excellent knowledge of various HR functions such as pay & benefits, recruitment, on boarding, evaluation, training etc.
• Good understanding of labour laws is a must
• Proficient in MS Office
• Two years (2) years of experience with HR software
• Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The candidate must be a Problem-solver
• Good decision-making skills
• Strong ethical standards
