JOB PURPOSE:
- Responsible implementation and management of Corporate Responsibility (CR) strategy through current and new initiatives, create positive working relations with existing partners on projects.
- Seek and bring on board strategic partners to work with in the implementation of the CR strategy in line with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2025
- Work closely with relevant departments, to ensure commitment to CR agenda in the development and implementation of the CR initiatives and ensure that the initiatives are executed in an ethical and responsible manner and maximise employee participation in the projects
- Ensure maximum social returns on the corporate investment in CR within the communities and Government
- Ensure effective communication of CR projects internally and externally
- Support with proactive and regular stakeholder engagement with sector ministry and other relevant government Institutions / ministries to support company Government relations agenda and to facilitate resolution of business operational challenges caused by Public Policy changes.
- Support relevant departments with matters that could potential affect business operations that are handled by government departments (TRA, Local Government, NEMC, TARURA )
- Ensure company presence/ participation in relevant Government or associated platforms and events to ensure company visibility and positive perception by government (TBNC , TPSF , Ministry of Finance task force for tax reform, relevant Parliamentary Committees )
- The CR and GR Officer will report to Chief Regulatory Affairs Officer

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support line Manager with implementation and management of Corporate Responsibility activities.
- Collaborate with Company’s business units and functions, to drive execution of CR projects that are aligned with the CR strategic framework and other business strategies.
- Work with relevant departments i.e. Marketing and Corporate Communications , Human Resources , Health and Safety , Ethics & Compliance to ensure that the CR agenda is integrated as a core part in our business operations.
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications for effective Communications of CR and GR related projects and activities to advance the Company’s corporate reputation and brand image.
- Responsible for direct the coordination and implementation CR initiatives and specific project management to ensure that CR programs, initiatives, and related activities are successfully executed. Direct the day-to-day management of CR processes and programs
- Management of the CR annual operating budget through effective planning process and effective implementation of CR projects.
- Assist the line Manager in assessing the societal and business risks and opportunities with respect to CR and GR.
- Monitor and asses emerging political and social issues that may have impact to the business.
- Support line Manager in stakeholder engagement through stakeholder mapping, build and maintain strategic alliances with key political, economic and social leaders who are key decision , policy makers and influencers in Government , Private sector and CBOs
- Perform any other duty within your scope as may be assigned by the line Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree in Sustainability Development, Social Sciences, Public and international relations, Education other related disciplines
- Master’s degree and/ or accreditations are an added advantage
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- At least 5 years relevant work experience, preferably in a corporate affairs role in the private sector or within the non-profit sector
- Experience in project, campaign and/or event management.
- Stakeholder management experience
