Position: Veterinary Officer

Guru Planet Ltd provides business consultation, marketing linkage and distribution to the poultry farmers supply chain from farm to retail to help boost natural/indigenous chicken production , increase market access, improve logistics and distribution, and expand access to loans for poultry farmers. Guru Planet Ltd Advisory Services supports poultry farmers to promote good indigenous chicken rearing practices that benefit small-scale poultry farmers, and value chain solutions involving small and medium size enterprises.

Guru Planet Limited is looking to hire a Veterinary Officer to provide technical and veterinary support to its departments and customers .

Responsibilities:

1. Performs poultry disease surveillance and reports to management with professional recommendation.
2. Performs client visits when necessary.
3. Oversees and implements the company’s vaccination schedule ensuring adherence and compliance.
4. Assists with any veterinary activities as requested by the company.
5. Conducts vaccination training with company employees and customers.
6. Coordinates and delivers training to employees and customers on new developments and poultry management techniques.
7. Conducts Distributors and Sales team training as requested and when needed.
8. He or she will be responsible for chicks and chicken feed.
9. He or she will be responsible for chicken vaccination.
10. He or she will be responsible for recruitment and uploading new poultry farmers into Guru system.
11. He or she will be responsible for sales and marketing of Guru Poultry programs.
12. He or she will be responsible for chicks production and growth.

Minimum qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree of Veterinary/Animal Science.

Required:

• At least One year working Experience with Poultry Management in the Poultry Industry
