About the role

This role will provide transport, logistical and administrative support to include:

  • transportation for project staff and related partners during the duration of the Boresha Macho project
  • driver planning, and scheduling using project calendar and registering transportation requests
  • delivering/ distributing project goods to the respective districts
  • deliver correspondence to project partners as required
  • facilitating pick-ups for project visitors and transportation during official visits
  • service vehicle maintenance management
  • acting as a back-up for the Receptionist and as a messenger
  • assisting with office and meeting rooms arrangements
  • providing timely updates to relevant members of the project team

Knowledge, skills and experience required for this role

  • Secondary school certificate with driving school training or equivalent; relevant experience or knowledge and skills equivalent to 2 years of VETA VIP driving
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check
  • Previous professional experience driving preferred; training may be provided
  • Able to work night, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Demonstrable working experience, ideally gained in an NGO environment
  • Experience and understanding of government partners

We anticipate that interviews, including a practical examination, will take place in early October 2021. Please note that a successful eyesight test will also be required for this position.
