A Bit About The Role

Reporting to the Country Manager for Tanzania, the ideal candidate will be required to lead the Zanzibar Market’s Sales, operations, campaigns, merchant retention activities & any other duties as assigned by the management

Requirements

Your mission:

The main responsibilities are

  • Lead the Zanzibar team in new merchants acquisition
  • Agree on personal & team sales targets (shared separately), plan, initiate and execute sale meetings
  • Create & execute on sales campaigns plus programs as well as reporting
  • Manage, own & oversee markets sales team meetings. schedule & follow up with clients each month, face-to-face, online and phone calls to generate new sales
  • Manage new merchants and ensure adequate after sales relationship management
  • Lead in merchants’ reactivation initiatives plus ongoing client revenue management meetings
  • Assign sales rep responsibilities for specific sales projects & shared marketing campaigns
  • Train, uphold & implement (where relevant) the business sales procedures
  • Oversee and participate in Customer Support activities as requested by Customer Support & Operations
  • Vet all requests for new accounts (KYC) with recommendations (where relevant) to Sales Operations Manager, Country Manager – Tanzania or Regional Sales Manager
  • Compliance: Review all new merchants’ compliance per vertical
  • Prepare and present weekly reports to the Country Manager – Tanzania and/or Regional Manager, based on sales targets, activities and achievements, deadlines, and market intelligence
  • Participate in sales roadshows, workshops, client exhibitions and events as directed by Sales and/or Marketing Division

A Bit About You

Experience & skills required:

  • 3+ Years of experience in sales management
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • A great salesperson with strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to supervise a team
  • Experience in activity, task and sales reporting
  • Proven customer relations skills
  • Proven track record in frontline sales and CRM system management
  • Excellent face-to-face + online presentation skills
  • Confidence, enthusiasm, and persuasive in nature
  • Good time-management skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet stipulated deadlines
  • Possess a sense of Responsibility, leadership and innovation
  • Working knowledge of hospitality, travel or e-commerce industries
  • Minimum 5 years’ background in sales with management sales experience
  • Experience in working with a CRM system desirable
  • Experience of Res Systems, Virtual Card services (Booking.com, Expedia) & online channel management
