Dangote Cement Tanzania Plc is Sub-Saharan Africa’s leading cement company, with a production capacity of 48.6 million tonnes per year across ten countries. Together, these operations make us the largest cement producer in Sub-Saharan Africa.
In the east and south of Africa we have existing or planned operations in Ethiopia, South Africa, Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya and Zimbabwe. All these countries have ample native limestone, so all our facilities there will be integrated factories, with the exception of the Delmas cement milling plant in South Africa.
The Group continues to grow its vision of becoming the leading provider of essential needs in Food and Shelter in Sub Saharan Africa with sustained market leadership in Cement Manufacturing, Sugar Milling, Sugar Refining, Packaging Material Production and Salt Refining. Upcoming projects include a $12 billion investment in an Oil Refinery, Fertilizer Plant and Petrochemical Complex.
The improving performance of the economy has fueled strong growth in cement demand and the prospects remain favourable, given the linear relationship between economic growth and cement consumption.
