Program Specialist

Work Hours: 7:00AM ~ 4:00PM
Type of Contract: Fixed time
Duration: One Year

Job Purpose:

Support the Official Development Assistance program to Tanzanian Government especially through the concessional loans from Korean Government fund (EDCF) for the infrastructure projects in Tanzania

Responsibilities:

Liaise with national and local level government agencies, development partners, and other stakeholders
Provide key inputs in developing new projects and programs
Assist with the appraisal, implementation, monitoring and closure of projects *Especially assist with Procurement (Selection of consultants/Contractors) and Disbursement process
Preparing project briefings on all projects for the stakeholder portfolio reviews
Participate in conferences, workshops and meetings, representing EDCF and Korea Eximbank
Organize meetings, conferences, field visits or special events
Prepare press releases and contribute to official social media accounts
Perform independent research and report on political, socio-economic and development trends or on other sector of interest
Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

Required:

A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree (in development studies/practice, economics, international relations, finance, business administration, engineering or any other relevant field) is required.
Master’s degree or equivalent in related field is preferred.
Excellent command of English both in writing and speaking
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Experience in the ODA area would be an advantage
More than one year of professional experience in development sector, preferably in an international organization or NGO would be advantage
