The outcome is proactive, resilient, and socially-responsible girls who secure better jobs, raise healthier families, and increase the standing of women in society.
GLAMI supports girls’ education in Tanzania in order to provide girls with the opportunity to transform their own lives and the futures of their communities. We accomplish our mission through our two extracurricular mentoring programs: Kisa Project and Binti Shupavu.
To create a future in which all Tanzania girls have equal access to high-quality educational opportunities that empower them to achieve their goals and better their communities.
We believe that girls have the right to equal access to education, the right to be heard, the right to live free from exploitation, the right to be happy, and the right to be hopeful. We believe that girls can be self-reliant, confident, empowered, goal oriented, trustworthy, and fiscally responsible, and can shape their own futures and solve their own problems.
