As a Receiving and Inspection Officer, your role is the quality controller of our inventory, ensuring every incoming item meets our high standards. You’ll combine your attention to detail with strong organizational skills to optimize receiving processes and maintain accurate record.
This purpose is coupled with the concept that the camp is a business unit that needs to run profitably with effective cost-stock controls, management of assets and environmental care.

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF JOB:
To ensure all incoming goods and materials are received and inspected in accordance with the company standards and policies, work together with other departments and vendors to resolve any issues or discrepancies, and maintain accurate and timely records of all transactions.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
Daily Duties
- Receiving and inspecting all incoming goods and materials and reconciling them with purchase orders
- Answers questions regarding procedures and resolve discrepancies regarding receipts, deliveries, and warranties.
- Processing and distributing documentation with purchase orders and reporting any damages or discrepancies.
- Generating and submitting batches for invoices received into the system.
- Assisting in stock taking and clearing any variance between physical and system stock
- Checking and resolving any un-received invoices
- Attending aging meetings as and when required
- Performing all duties assigned efficiently, technically correct, and in accordance with the company policies, rules, and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- A diploma or degree in procurement, logistics, or related field is required.
- Proficiency in ACCPAC or similar system
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain sound co-operative relationships with other departments.
- Ability to manage workload and issues to meet deadlines and have a positive work attitude.
- Ability to take initiative and be proactive, efficient, and diligent.
- Ability to understand and work within the vision statement and core values of Asilia.
