Position: Procurement Supervisor

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Strengthen the ability to identify, recommend, and make improvements to the company’s procurement service in an efficient, timely and cost-ef­fective manner;
  • Promptly and efficiently identify and resolve procurement-to-payment issues;
  • Acting as a resource person and support for the Purchasing team on all matters related to the achievement of optimal performance;
  • Make sure department activities are in line with procurement policy and meet the requirements
  • Provide necessary resources and adequate working environment to facilitate procurement officers works
  • Cement strong relationship with mining commission and other govern­ment entities to comply with local content regulations.
  • Direct supervision of purchasing personnel.
  • Custodian to local content and all statutory requirements associate to it.
  • Ensure that all purchasing decisions are based on sound commercial and ethical considerations, reflecting the balance between quantity, quality, price and delivery.
  • Accurate and efficient processing of purchase requisitions to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Weekly expediting of overdue purchase orders, updating purchase order delivery dates and advising customers of lead-time variations.
  • Daily review of purchase orders / requisitions awaiting approval and approved for processing.
  • Housekeeping of electronic and hard copy records.
  • Maintain purchasing records for consignment and owned critical invento­ry.
  • Assist with the tender process for materials and services.
  • Liaise with freight forwarding agents and international suppliers to co-or­dinate the delivery of international purchases.

Qualification

  • Degree in Materials Management / Commerce / Accounts / Procurement from accredited Institution.
  • Registered Professional in Supplies and Procurement (CPSP) with the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years working experience in mining or similar industries


Position: Logistic Supervisor

Position purpose

Plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing logistics operations for the company. This position requires strong leadership skills along with a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain management.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Control Removals and Storage: Manage and oversee removals and storage activities, ensuring efficient handling and storage of goods.
  • Delivery Tracking: Monitor deliveries on-site to ensure accurate receipt and entry into the Pronto software system.
  • Invoice Verification: Verify logistics-related invoices and prepare them for approval by relevant stakeholders.
  • Customs Clearance Documentation: Supervise the documentation process for shipments, ensuring compliance with customs clearance formalities.
  • Customs Clearance Operations: Oversee and supervise customs clear­ance operations in Ivory Coast, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Supervision of Gold Shipments: Manage and supervise the logistics of gold shipments, adhering to industry standards and regulatory protocols.
  • International Transport Management: Assist the Supply Chain Manager in managing international transport logistics, coordinating shipments across borders.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to deadlines and compliance requirements in customs procedures, maintaining smooth operations.
  • Renewals and Authorizations: Supervise the renewal process of temporary admissions, exemptions, and import authorizations as per regulatory requirements.
  • Local Insurance Monitoring: Monitor local insurance requirements and compliance for logistics operations.
  • Support to Logistics Manager: Assist the Logistics Director as needed in various supply chain management tasks.

Qualification

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Transport and Logistics or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics, with demonstrated leadership in managing complex logistics operations


Position: Lead Surveyor

Roles and Responsibilities

The scope of the role includes the survey for the construction of the PMSL tailings storage facility (TSF), road development including site access road, internal site roads and haul roads and early mine development activities. Management of Safety, Environment, & Community Relations

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, environ­ment, health and community.
  • Ensure all survey construction activities and procedures adhere to the applicable Tanzania mining regulations.
  • Actively engage with Nyanzaga Gold Social Development personnel to ensure that all early works for mine construction are understood and rele­vant permits, compensation etc are in place prior to works commencing.

People Management

  • Communicate effectively with all personnel to ensure that there is an un­derstanding of and support for the goals and aspirations of the Nyanzaga Gold.
  • Training of the junior members of survey team and get them familiar with company requirements.

Operations

  • A good knowledge of Leica instruments and software.
  • A good knowledge of Survey software (e.g. AutoCAD, civil 3D.)
  • Manage early mine development activities including management of company survey team.

Qualification

  • Degree in Geodetic Engineering, Mine Surveying, Engineering Survey or equivalent from a recognized tertiary education institution is essential

Experience

  • Over 10 years in open pit mining operations with base or precious metal ore body experience


Position: Support Services Supervisor

Position purpose

Assist the site Construction Manager and HR Manager by providing them with efficient and effective support to achieve the overall objectives of the company. Manage day-to-day administrative services and operations for the core business function in the provision of facilities management, transport and travel.

Roles and Responsibilities People Management

  • Manage the relationship between MSMCL and support services contrac­tor’s, to ensure smooth running of operations.
  • Ensure subordinate employees and contractors are compliant with com­pany regulations.
  • Mentor, train and motivate subordinates to deliver results in an efficient, effective and timely manner.
  • Interact with all sectional heads of departments to achieve departmental KPI’s.
  • Supervise and assist with maintenance schedules and project timelines delivery.

Operation

  • Organize the VIP visit schedules and preparing reports, presentations and correspondence.
  • Ensure the transmission of information internally and externally (deci­sions, memos).
  • Oversee all travel movements into/out-of Tanzania and internal country travel movements.
  • Update regulatory and Professional information and take care of the filing and archiving of documents.
  • Organize site events and ensure corporate internal communication.
  • Assist in preparing documents to put out tenders for contractors.
  • Plan best allocation and utilisation of space and resources for buildings, or re-organising premises.
  • Check and agree work performed by contractors are completed satisfac­torily and following up on any deficiencies.
  • Coordinate and lead the support services teams to cover various areas of responsibility.
  • Responsible for employee business travel transportation and accom­modation bookings in accordance with company approved process and Travel Policy.
  • Ensure pool vehicles/drivers are utilized in an effective and efficient manner for travel.
  • Undertake regular review of support service systems, policies and proce­dures to ensure conformity with best practices.
  • Ensure proper and accurate bookkeeping and records for efficient and effective internal control system and cost control measures.
  • Manage all the site access forms and procedure.

Qualification

  • Degree in Business Administration /Facility Management/ or related to Social Sciences discipline

Experience

  • 3 years’ experience in the hospitality or mining sector
