GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE (GPN)

NAME OF PROJECT: ZANZIBAR JUDICIAL MODERNAZATION PROJECT

(Zi-JUMP)

The Government of United Republic of Tanzania has received financing in the amount of US$ 30 million equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Zanzibar Judicial Modernization Project (Zi – JUMP), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project.

The project will include the following components:

Component 1: Access to Justice Services – will strengthen access to justice by expanding the geographic coverage of court services with the construction of five smart courts, strengthening alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms, and supporting the development of a gender justice strategy;

Component 2: Court Efficiency – will enhance court efficiency by enhancing staff knowledge, streamlining and simplifying court procedures, automating the case management process, and institutionalizing a staff performance management system; and

Component 3: Citizen and Stakeholders Engagement – will support citizen and stakeholder engagement by enhancing inter-institutional collaboration, fostering citizen awareness on judicial services, and enhancing citizen feedback mechanisms.

The purpose of this General Procurement Notes is to inform eligible Suppliers, Contractors and Service Providers who would wish to be considered for the works, goods and provision of consulting services under the project.
