Position: Security Investigator (1 position)
Reports to: Security Superintendent
Contract type: Specified Period of Time contract
Position Purpose:
This is a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our organization by conducting thorough investigations into security incidents, analyzing evidence, and developing strategies to mitigate risks. The Security Investigator will work closely with various departments to support organizational security initiatives and contribute to a safe working environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents, including theft, fraud, and workplace violence.
- Collect and analyze evidence, documents, and witness statements to support investigations.
- Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and external agencies when necessary.
- Monitor and review security footage and other surveillance data for incidents.
- Conduct background checks and risk assessments for employees and contractors as needed.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to enhance organizational safety.
- Participate in training and awareness programs to educate staff on security practices.
- Stay current on industry regulations and best practices related to security investigations.
Qualification/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in security investigation or law enforcement is a plus.
