Hesu is licensed under Tanzania Revenue Authority to operate ICD facility since 2012. Its welllocated depot site includes 9 acres of paved yard; with the capacity to store 3800 Twenty Foot equivalent units (TEUS) stacked 5 high. Hesu is one of the most strategically located inland container terminals, situated just off Nelson Mandela road 5 km from the port. This fully secured facility operates with its state of the art handling equipment include empty handlers, forklifts, reach stackers, prime movers and trailers ensuring a definite first in/ first out stacking configurations. Our facility includes a 2-floor office block (750sqm) that accommodates customs & port authorities, shipping lines and logistics service providers. POSITION: IT Officer

SUMMARY
Responsible for overall IT operations in the company. Ensures that the companies’ IT systems, integrations, and networks are running smoothly and efficiently.
Handling IT department tasks to make better decisions, cut costs, and boost performance across various areas, from logistics system SAP and customer service to inventory management and supplier collaboration, and to ensure that the company’s IT systems and networks are compliant with all applicable standards and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The IT Officer – will deliver the following activities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT department in the country
- Manage sales orders within SAP, from order entry to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Track goods and supplies in real-time
- Maintain seamless communication with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, sales teams, and various departments to enhance efficiency and exceed customer expectations.
- Offer root cause analysis for complaints and propose corrective actions for management review.
- Ensure the uptime and performance of the company’s IT systems, integrations and networks Provide technical support to users
- Manage IT budget
- Ensure that IT systems and networks are compliant with all applicable standards and regulations
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in IT management Proficient in the handling of ERP such as SAP is added advantage..
- Knowledge of export and domestic laws and regulations.
- Strong multitasking and analytical skills with the ability to provide recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications
- Security Guard Certification:
- Must be a certified security guard with adequate training in security protocols and procedures.
- Knowledge of basic security principles, such as access control, surveillance, and incident reporting.
- Riding Skills and Licensing:
- Must possess a valid motorcycle driving license.
- Demonstrated expertise in riding motorcycles safely in urban and off-road conditions.

- Proficient in writing concise and accurate reports.
- Situational Awareness:

The Driver Supervisor in particular will be responsible for ensuring that all transportation operations are conducted smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves managing a team of drivers, optimizing routes, and maintaining high standards of safety and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management
- Supervise, train, and evaluate a team of drivers to ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Schedule and assign driving routes based on operational needs and driver availability.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to drivers to promote continuous improvement.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Optimize routes and schedules to enhance delivery efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Monitor vehicle performance and coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed.

- Customer Service:
- Address and resolve any issues or complaints from customers related to transportation and delivery services.
- Work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure high levels of service and customer satisfaction.
- Safety and Risk Management:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize accidents and injuries.
- Conduct safety-training sessions and ensure that all drivers are up-to-date with safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a transportation or logistics management role, with a focus on driver management.
- Strong understanding of ICD and CFS operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards in the logistics industry.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
