The Investments Analyst will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to support investment decisions; evaluating potential investment opportunities, preparing detailed reports. They will also ensure that cash is efficiently deployed and currency risks are managed in order to maintain liquidity and minimize transaction costs as they interact with banks and brokers.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
- Streamline interactions as the main contact to investment counterparties (banks and brokers).
- Support investment trading/settlement process. Cash and foreign exchange management
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing investments.
- Develop financial models to support investment decisions.
- Prepare detailed investment reports and presentations for stakeholders
- Stay updated on macroeconomic trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes in the African markets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support investment strategies
- Adhere to Company policies including internal and external risk, compliance and regulatory standards.
- Any other responsibilities as documented in your annual performance objectives and as may be assigned and communicated from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
· A business-related University degree
· 1 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the fund management industry
· Post graduate qualifications in Investment Management is an added advantage· .
