Overview:
Trias is a Belgian international development organization headquartered in Brussels. Trias’ core business focuses on sustainable livelihood security of entrepreneurial people (small-scale farmers and small-scale entrepreneurs). Currently, Trias supports more than one million family farmers and small entrepreneurs in fourteen countries, spread across Asia, Africa and Latin America. In Tanzania, Trias is active in 11 districts in Arusha and Manyara regions and in Zanzibar.
Trias Tanzania is currently implementing an EU-funded project under AGRI- CONNECT programme in Zanzibar (Unguja and Pemba). The project is called “Make it grow! Horticulture for sustainable economic development in Zanzibar /KUZA (Kuza Kilimo Zanzibar), which is being implemented in collaboration with the Tanzania Horticulture Association (TAHA), the German Andreas Hermes Akademie (AHA) and the Government of Zanzibar (national level) for the period of 4 years. Trias in collaboration with World Vegetable Center is looking for a consultant to implement a Training trajectory for Vegetable Business

Network trainer-mentors and coaches
The project aims to use the Vegetable Business Network approach to improve the linkage between farmers and consumers through building stable and sustainable business relationships aimed at quality and fairness between the different actors as well as supporting their business development.
The analysis of the Zanzibar horticultural value chains, their surrounding market systems obstacles and opportunities and the identification of a set of business champions in the chains has been done.
In this context, Trias is aiming to identify consultant(s) to build the capacity of trainers of coaches and vegetable business network coaches and to lead the piloting of preselected vegetable business networks in Zanzibar. This is expected to build longer term facilitation capacity of Trias and some of its partner organizations as well as few public / private support service providers.
