Position: Prosthethist & Orthotist(s) – CAT I or CAT II (2 posts)
Ref: 2021-15Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) aims to be the leading provider of accessible specialized health services in Africa and serves - as healthcare social enterprise and through development programmes - the community and the most vulnerable. CCBRT is Tanzania’s largest local provider of disability and rehabilitation services in the country. We’re committed to empower people with disabilities and their families, improving their quality of life, and ensuring access to medical and rehabilitative treatment.
Committed to preventing lifelong disabilities wherever possible, CCBRT is also engaged in extensive maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC) activities including obstetric fistula repairs and is opening a Maternity and Newborn Wing in 2021.
To strengthen our Prosthetic & Orthotic Unit, we are looking for Prosthetist&Orthotist (CAT 1 or CAT II) that share our passion for making artificial limbs.
As Prosthetist & Orthotist you design, fabricate, fit, evaluate and repair prosthetic devices (artificial limbs) and orthotic devices (braces and supports).
You assess patients needs and provide advice where needed.
You work in a small team, equipped with a large workshop and a large GAIT training area is available.
The department is also involved in 3D printing technology for prosthesis.
The candidate(s)
You have a Bachelor Degree in prosthetics & orthotics (CAT I )or Diploma in Orthopedic technology
(CAT II), furthermore:
You successfully completed Internship and passed.
You are fully registered with the medical council of Tanganyika as a Prosthetist & Orthotist
You are passionate about your work
