The ideal candidate is a motivated, well-organized individual who has a deep understanding of prospecting and developing strong relationships with customers.
Business Objective
Guide the team charged with a product line contribution as a business unit. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to penetrating the market for new products that the company may introduce from time to time.
Reports to: Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO)
Responsibilities
- Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
- Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing visits to customers and non-customers.
- Driving a solution set across development teams primarily Business Development, Consulting, and Product teams through market requirements, product contracts, and positioning.
- Identifying the weak points of the competitors in order to have an upper hand with the customers.
- Working closely with the sales team through mentorship on ways to increase sales.
- Designing items that help to show the way the company’s products and services can help a customer.
- Developing and writing a business plan for the company that includes details of their products and services, the forecast for sales, price ranges, lists any special features, and develops the promotions and sales advertising needed to market the company’s product lines.
- Building products from existing ideas and helping to develop new ideas based on industry experience.
- Must be able to communicate with all areas of the company.
- Work with the business development teams to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer.
- Serve as the internal and external evangelist for product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/IT or Business-related field.
- Certification in marketing will be an added advantage.
- Other product certifications are an added advantage
Experience
- At least 5 years in the IT industry
- Knowledgeable in technology.
- Demonstrated success in defining and launching excellent products.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent teamwork skills and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
