Position: Assistant Camp Manager
Reports to: Camp Manager
As an Assistant Camp Manager, your pivotal role is to support the
camp manager in establishing and implementing Company’s objectives by
administering policies and procedures. Assist and participate to the packing,
move and setup of camp.
Primary roles
l Analyze areas and departments in need of support
l Implement controls and reporting tools to ensure procedures
are in place and followed
l To implement systems and procedures of the Company into
Camps
l To assist training junior staffs in new system and
procedures
l To assist managing Logistics and Camp department staff by
implementing work schedules and leave schedules.
l To schedule and organize guests’ activities (game drives,
walks, sundowners, airport pickups and transfers)
l To schedule and organize camp movement in coordination with
moving crew
l To assist in setting up camp
l To relieve camp manager from duty when necessary
l To handle Company money responsibly ensuring it is used as
per specific Company requirements.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
·
Certificate in Tourism
Management or equivalent.
·
A minimum of 5 years’
experience within the hospitality industry.
·
Experience in handling
international guests and seasoned travellers will give an added advantage.
·
Basic Wine and other
Beverages drinks knowledge.

Position: Camp Chef
Reports to: Camp Manager
As a Camp Chef your role is to oversee the whole camp’s
kitchen operations. Assist and participate to the packing, move and setup of
camp.
Primary roles
l To prepare five star quality meals for guests
l To ensure the kitchen is clean and hygienic at all times
l To ensure that any special dietary needs are met
l To ensure that the stores and fridges are clean and well
packed at all times
l To supervise all kitchen staff
l Ensure minimum wastage by preparing the correct portions
and by f strictly following company recipes
l To ensure checklists are in place for use by kitchen staff
l Take care of all assets and ensure breakages are recorded
and reported to management
l Maintenance team to be informed of any repairs that need to
be done in the kitchen area
l To liaise with the Camp Manager for maintenance of par
levels of all stock items
l Responsible for ordering and receiving dry and fresh goods
on a weekly and/or monthly basis
l To manage the kitchen schedule and issue duties to
Assistant chef and Assistant Cooks
l Responsible for plating and food presentation
l Constantly train and coach Assistant Chef, Assistant Cooks
and trainees to ensure minimum standards are met
l To assist in the Arusha town office when you are not in
Camp in any duty the office asks.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Understanding culinary
nutrition, flavour profiles, and dietary restrictions is crucial.

Adaptability in
modifying dishes to cater to individual preferences and dietary needs.
·
Adhering to health
regulations and maintaining pristine kitchen conditions.
·
A minimum of 5 years’
experience within the chef position.
·
Experience in handling
international menus and seasonal will give an added advantage.

Position: Camp Crew/housekeeper
Reports to: Camp Manager
As a Housekeeper your role is to Assist and participate to
the packing, move and setup of camp. To assist camp manager and in the smooth
running to the camp’s operation in order to exceed guest’s expectations.
Primary roles
l To set up camps in their seasonal locations
l To level grounds to accommodate tents and slash
grasses where needed
l To pack camp after each seasonal seasons
l To prepare the main areas in the morning after guests are
out on game drives
l To prepare the main areas in the evenings before guests
arrive back from game drives
l To clean and prepare tents and bathroom facilities
l To ensure that the camp walkways and surrounding areas are
always clean
l Refuse bins to be emptied daily, ensuring that the relevant
departments are sorting it into categories
l To ensure that there is always enough cleaning products in
camp
l To ensure that there is always clean linen in camp
l To inform maintenance or camp manager of any repairs that
need to be done in the mess and guest tents
l To look after company equipment at all times and report on
damage or malfunction of equipment.
l To assist in the Arusha town office when you are not in
Camp in any duty the office asks.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Certificate in Hotel and
Hospitality.

A minimum of 3 years’
experience within the Housekeeping position.

Ability to fluently
speak and write English

Position: Waiter/Butler
Reports to: Camp Manager
As a Waiter/Butler your role is to assist camp
manager and camp kitchen in the smooth running to the camp’s operation in order
to exceed guest’s expectations. Assist and participate to the packing, move and
setup of camp.
Primary roles
·
Meeting and dealing with
guests on all levels, assisting wherever possible, ensuring that the guest
experience is exceeded.
·
To provide guests the
best possible service ensuring the correct procedures are followed.
·
To assist camp
management with any administrative inputs requested as well as assisting with
any stocktakes procedures (assets, food and beverages…).
·
To ensure the safety of
your guests and staff at all times
·
To ensure that guests
get special enhancements at least once during their stay.
·
To ensure that the
Housekeeping department is offering the guests the best service according to
minimum standards set out by the training department
