Akiba Commercial Bank Plc (ACB) is seeking 100 Direct Sales Agents across various locations. This is a great opportunity to build a rewarding career in retail banking while contributing to the growth of the bank’s customer base.

Tenure: 6 months (Renewable subject to performance)

Location: Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Dodoma, and Mbeya.

Job Purpose:
The Direct Sales Agent is responsible for driving the retail sales objectives of the bank through daily customer visits. They will sell bank products and services to new and existing customers, deepen existing customer relationships, and maintain operational excellence within the service standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Acquire new bank customers through appointments, referrals, or door-to-door canvassing in the assigned area.
  • Open new bank accounts and collect account opening fees.
  • Register customers for Akiba mobile and educate them on using self-service channels.
  • Ensure compliance with KYC standards for all opened accounts.
  • Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, or yearly sales quotas.
  • Generate leads, upsell, and cross-sell bank products and services to customers.
  • Participate in campaigns, special projects, and events to promote bank products and services.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships through regular interactions.
  • Assist management in identifying effective marketing and pricing strategies.
  • Safeguard working tools and marketing materials.
  • Continuously improve sales presentations and product knowledge.
  • Perform any other relevant duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Strong customer relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work outside the banking halls in various environments.
  • Flexibility to work during non-standard business hours.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through skills.
  • Strong consultative selling skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Standard computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Diploma, or equivalent in Business-related fields such as Marketing, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or other related fields.
  • Open only to fresh graduates of 2024.
