Dar es Salaam. The Police Force has announced job vacancies for Tanzanian youth with degrees, diplomas, certificates, form six and four with various qualifications.
According to an announcement made by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Tanzania, Camilius Wambura, on March 20, 2025, the required youth are required to be Tanzanian citizens by birth, parents must be Tanzanian citizens by birth and must have completed form four or six from 2019 to 2024.
Other qualifications are that applicants for form four, six and those with certificates must be between 18 and 25 years of age, for applicants for form four they must have a first to fourth class pass.
For applicants with a fourth-grade pass, they should have a pass score of 26 to 28, while applicants with a sixth-grade pass should have a pass score of first to third. Degree and diploma graduates should be between 18 and 30 years of age, not less than five feet eight inches (5’8”) tall for males and five feet four inches (5’4”) for females.
Other qualifications are to have a National Identity Card or an identification number from the National Identification Authority (NIDA), the ability to speak Kiswahili and English fluently and good physical and mental health certified by a Government doctor.
The applicant should not be married, have been married or have a child or children, have never used drugs of any kind, be willing to attend the initial training of the Police profession and not be employed or have never been employed by another Government institution.
He/She must be willing to work in the Police force anywhere in Tanzania, to pay for all the interview steps if called for an interview, and must not have any tattoos or criminal records.
Applicants with a degree (NTA level 8), diploma (NTA level 6) and diploma (NTA Level 5 or NVA Level 3) must have the fields specified in the job advertisement.
All applicants are required to write their own application letters by hand without forgetting their telephone numbers and address them to the Chief of Police, P.O. Box 961, Dodoma. The letter should be attached to the application in ‘pdf’ format.

All applicants are required to apply through the Tanzania Police Force Recruitment Portal, which is available on the Police Force website (https://ajira.tpf.go.tz).
“Applications submitted by post, email or hand will not be accepted,” the announcement said.
The deadline for applications is April 4, 2025.
