Position in the organization
The Field Technical Officer will act as the representative for
IMPAACT4TB who will work in very close collaboration with the Regional
Health Management Team (RHMT), in particular the Regional TB and Leprosy
Coordinator (RTLC), and with other implementing partners to support
IMPAACT4TB activities. The TO will report directly to the IMPAACT4TB
Project Manager and will maintain close communication and coordination
with the IMPAACT4TB M & E Officer, as well as the headquarters
office KNCV Technical Officer.
As Field Technical Officer you will:
• Advise TB and HIV stakeholders at regional and district level in the area of TB Preventive Therapy (TPT);
• Act as a mentor for regional and district TB (and HIV) officers on TPT;
• Plan and co-facilitate all technical trainings to the intended health care workers;
• Build capacity of Care and Treatment Clinic (CTC) and TB Clinic staff through on the job training and coaching on TPT;
• Contribute to the development of the 3HP delivery plan and implement with the regional teams the outlined project activities;
• Coordinate and check the project activities and outputs with the regional team;
• Participate in joint supportive supervision visits within the region;
• Engage with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and affected communities to support sensitization, support and uptake of 3HP;
• Monitor project performance according to the M & E plan;
• Identify bottlenecks and opportunities in delivery of 3HP in the region;
• Supervise and inspire team members, while creating an environment
where sharing, technical debate and innovation are part of the routine;
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the IMPAACT4TB Project Manager;
• Advise the Project Manager and M & E Officer on project activities
in the region and suggest innovative solutions and ideas to overcome
challenges encountered;
• Coordinate site visits by IMPAACT4TB staff in the regions they supervise;
• Participate in regular TB and HIV meetings to present and deliberate on issues regarding TPT;
• Actively share knowledge with regional and district TB and HIV staff.
Who are we looking for?
Education:
• Medical Degree; a Master’s in public health or any other relevant area will be an added advantage.
Knowledge/Experience:
• Good knowledge of HIV, TB and LTBI from a clinical and programmatic perspective;
• Familiar with local NTLP and NACP policies and guidelines;
• A minimum of three years’ experience working in public health and/or tuberculosis;program/projects and interventions;
• Proven track record in people, project, and finance management;
• Expertise in overall management of tuberculosis and HIV;
• Knowledge and skills in project activities implementation;
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office package.

Position in the organization
The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will lead and provide oversight
of monitoring and evaluation related activities of IMPAACT4TB project.
He/she will report directly to the IMPAACT4TB Project Manager while
maintaining close communication and coordination with the headquarters’
office KNCV Monitoring & Evaluation Lead.
AS Monitoring & Evaluation Officer you will:
• Provide field technical support on monitoring and evaluation and knowledge management;
• Assist the IMPAACT4TB Project Manager in the preparation of work
plans/selection of indicators and annual implementation plans with a
view towards meeting the M & E requirements of IMPAACT4TB;
• Collect, report and analyze information on the IMPAACT4TB country project activities;
• Train, supervise, and oversee entry of enhanced M & E data from
the two sentinel sites; and ensure proper capture into the REDCap
database;
• Responsible for project data and REDCap database management;
• Train relevant health care workers with regards to data capture procedures and management;
• Ensure timely and complete reporting from field implemented activities in accordance with approved reporting formats;
• Support the data extraction of project relevant routine TB surveillance data at all project sites;
• Identify strengths and weaknesses in the data collection and management system and propose solutions
• Support data compilation and preparation of quarterly progress
reports, the annual project report, and ad-hoc technical reports as
required by KNCV and/or the IMPAACT4TB consortium members, in line with
the required formats;
• Collect data for IMPAACT4TB annual M & E plan and use that data to improve project performance;
• Perform regular supportive supervision visits to safeguard the quality
of data collected by the Field Data Collectors and to verify the
accuracy of reported data;
• Support the compilation of IMPAACT4TB information on lessons learned and success stories;
• Coordinate activities with and report progress to the IMPAACT4TB
Project Manager and the KNCV HQ M&E Lead and M&E Junior
Assistant on a weekly basis;
• Support the IMPAACT4TB Project Manager to ensure that data queries
from the IMPAACT4TB consortium and other stakeholders are addressed in
an accurate and timely manner;
• Assist the IMPAACT4TB Project Manager on decision-making on resource
allocation based on the priorities and performance of the project.
Who are we looking for?
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Management,
Administration, Information Management or other relevant academic
background; Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
Knowledge/Experience
• At least 4 years of Monitoring and Evaluation experience, preferably with patient-based data;

Position: Field Data Collector for the IMPAACT4TB Project (two positions) Arusha and Mbeya, Tanzania

The Field Data Collector will collect data and lead monitoring and
evaluation of IMPAACT4TB project field activities. He/she will report
directly to the IMPAACT4TB Monitoring & Evaluation Officer and will
maintain close communication and coordination with the IMPAACT4TB Field
Technical Officer.
As Field data Collector you will:
• Supervise and train the health care workers responsible for collecting
and recording the data from sentinel sites and ensure accurate data is
captured and recorded into the respective data collection tools in a
timely fashion;
• Gather and enter data from the IMPAACT4TB sentinel sites and transfer to the M & E Officer as required;
• Ensure timely and complete reporting from all field implemented activities in accordance with approved reporting formats;
• Identify strengths and weaknesses in existing data collection and management system and propose solutions;
• Train and mentor the health workers in a regular manner so as to record accurate data;
• Assist the Field Technical Officer and other technical personnel in clarifying project information needs;
• Compile data and prepare monthly progress reports in line with the required formats;
• Follow Adapt and implement tools and techniques to improve the quality and use of data for decision making;
• Participate in joint supportive supervision visits within the regions;
• Coordinate visits by the M & E Officer and assist in verifying the accuracy of reported data;

Position: IT Officer for the KNCV Office (part-time position) Tanzania

The IT Officer will be involved with all information, communication
and technology issues within the project and will provide support on an
agreed schedule and whenever a need arises. He/she will report directly
to the IMPAACT4TB Project Manager and will maintain close communication
and coordination with the IMPAACT4TB Administrative Assistant.
As IT Officer you will:
• Oversee installation of all IT systems and ensure backup systems operate effectively;
• Verify purchase of hardware and software;
• Evaluate user needs and system functionality and ensure the IT facilities meet these needs;
• Offer users appropriate support and advise;
• Identify the IMPAACT4TB IT requirements and give independent and objective advise on the use of IT;
• Manage and enable all IT issues involving the REDCap database;
• Manage crisis situations which may involve complex technical hardware and software problems;
• Schedule upgrade and security backups of hardware and software systems;
• Research, design, test, install and monitor new systems as needed;
• Guarantee the smooth running of all IT systems, including security
systems, office applications and communication infrastructures;
• Ensure that software licensing laws are adhered to;
• Provide secure network access to remote users;
• Secure project data from internal and external attack;

As Finance & Administrative Officer you will:
Support the Project Managers with financial, administrative and HR issues;
• Ensure the financial, administrative and human resource related policies and documents are updated and implemented;
• Supervise the Administrative Assistant;
• Ensure the accounting transactions are in accordance with local law,
generally accepted Accounting Principles, KNCV and donor policies, and
any cost principles imposed by KNCV or the projects;
• Support the Project Managers in development of project budgets and cash flow projections;
• Keep timely, complete and correct financial transactions;

Purpose of the assignment
The Administrative Assistant will provide support in project administration and management for effective project implementation.
Position in the organization
The Administrative Assistant reports directly to the Finance & Administration Officer.
As Administrative Assistant you will:
• Support administration and financial matters within the project implementation;
• Set up appointments/meetings with government, partner organizations and other stakeholders;
• Organize, coordinate and arrange all meetings and travels involving the project;
• Prepare and distribute minutes of meetings during administrative and
coordination meetings and other activities involving KNCV and partners;
• Support senior staff to prepare liquidation report of their duty trips that have been completed;
• Provide administrative and budgetary support in planning, budgeting,
organizing, implementation and monitoring of training activities;
• Pay relevant allowances to training facilitators and participants consistent with KNCV policies and project specification;
• Collect training expenditures and liaise with the Finance Officer in
analyzing the financial returns and reconciliations from the trainings
and workshops;
• Assist the Finance Officer in posting of invoices and retirement in the Exact system;
• File documents such as payment vouchers and retirements;
• Maintain the inventory book of project assets;
• Perform procurement for the project;
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management in
relation to project implementation and daily management of the
organization.
