partnerships with national and global nutrition actors to improve

International is seeking applications for Program Officer Child Health
and Nutrition to be based in Dar Salaam, Tanzania.
The role:
In line with NI’s strategic objectives in Tanzania, and in partnership
with key stakeholders, work under the guidance of the SPO to provide
technical and management support to the government Health management
teams and providers at national, regional and council levels and other
stakeholders to improve the efficiency of the implementation of the
vitamin A supplementation (VAS) intervention in order to ensure high
coverage e.g. at least >80% of 2 yearly doses VAS among children 6-59
months on a sustainable manner
What we are looking for:
The applicant should at least have a Master’s degree from a recognized
university in one or more of the following areas: child health,
nutrition, nursing, health sciences and public health. He or she should
have trained in epidemiology, community health and research
methodologies desirable and at least have 3 years work experience in
child health,public health, nutrition and/or related field in Tanzania
or elsewhere. The entrant should
also have Experience in program/project implementation/supervision,
monitoring and evaluation and Experience with micronutrient programs
desirable. He or she is also expected to have excellent interpersonal
skills,Very good presentational skills,Good report writing skills and
Excellent team working skills. It is also required that he or she have
IT competency. Lastly, the candidate should be discrete and a person of
integrity.

The role:
Help Nutrition International Tanzania to achieve its strategic objectives by providing effective and efficient management on financial and administrative issues to Nutrition International Tanzania staff while working with the Corporate Services team in the Regional office.
What we are looking for:
The applicant should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, at least 5 years of accounting experience and a minimum of 3 years in a donor-funded organization or project. He or she should also have Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices, financial systems, budget and cash flow monitoring and accounting controls, in an international context;Solid knowledge of accounting software, Great Plains, QuickBooks or Peachtree; andSolid knowledge of MS Office. Inaddition, the candidate should have Knowledge of databases and excellent communication skills. He or she should be able to work in a multicultural environment and should have demonstrated the ability to work in a team. It is also expected that the entrant has Sound management skills, both financial and human resources, client service orientation abilityand solid planning and organizing abilities. Lastly, the contender is expected to be initiative, attentive to details, a problem solver and a person of integrity.
