Job Summary:
Responsible for implementing packaging strategy in line with overall Company’s products strategy requirements; monitors facilities and machinery for efficiency and productivity including preventative maintenance, managing machinery breakdowns, electrical and robotic equipment (including software programming), budgetary/cost reporting etc

Responsibilities:
- Plans, coordinates and supervises day-to-day packaging activities and teams
- Maintains and reinforces safety and healthy working environment
- Drives quality control initiatives to ensure standards and health and safety regulations are met
- Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
- Lead implementation of Good Manufacturing principles and practices, (GMP) within focus area
- Plan and oversee all machinery and equipment inspection, repair and installation activities
- Optimize machine performance
- Optimize team performance and develop packaging team
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers within focus area
- Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliances
- Reduce energy, raw material usages and operational losses within focus area
- Any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Registered with the Tanzanian Board of Engineers
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a similar or related roles preferably from beverage manufacturing industry
- Good command of written and verbal English and Kiswahili
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills
- Familiarity with glass bottling machinery and quality assurance techniques
- Well-versed in relevant software (e.g. CAD, Microsoft Office suite)
- Highly motivated, results oriented and self-driven
