Total Exploration and Development Uganda Limited (TEPU), CNOOC Uganda Limited (CUL) and the Government of Uganda have discovered crude oil in the Lake Albert area and want to develop and build an oil pipeline to connect production from the Kingfisher area to Buliisa-Nwoya area of crude oil is exported to the international market.

The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project is part of the Lake Albert Development Project, a 1,443-kilometer transnational long-distance pipeline development project that can transport crude oil from Uganda to Tanga Port on the east coast of Tanzania .

The EACOP system is divided into three components, above ground installations (AGIs), pipelines and offshore storage terminals (MST).The above ground installation (AGI) consists of 6 pumping stations (PS-1 to PS-6) and 2 pressure reducing stations (PRS-1 and PRS-2) along the pipeline route.

The pipeline consists of 1,443 kilometers of 24-inch continuous heated export pipelines, connecting the Kabaale hub pumping station (PS-1) in the Hoima region of Uganda and the Tanga region storage reservoir in Tanzania . The pipeline includes all intermediate valve chambers , electric heat tracing (EHT) systems, high voltage distribution (HV) and fiber optic (FO) cables and related equipment, as well as the EHT substation.

Translator & CLO Job Vacancy at CPP

Job Description:

Responsible for facilitating daily translation of Chinese, English and Swahili for the people who are not speaking common language.
Attending Meeting and act as official translator to mediate the discussion.
Facilitating Communication for Chinese with a Limited English Proficiency.
Develop understanding of Region, District, Ward, Village and Hamlet level stakeholder and how they may be affected by CPY activities.
Develop understanding of CPY construction activities, all CPY work locations (direct and indirect) and the type of community engagement required, keep community informed of CPY activities.
Implement CPY stakeholder engagement work plan.
Interface with CPY Site representative and EACOP CLOs on construction activities.
Implement community induction and keep CPY updated on community issues feed and highlight potential community related risk to CPY for action.
Record and report community questions and project related concerns and participate in preparing and providing timely responses.
Implement EACOP Project Grievance Mechanism. And Coordinate with EACOP in resolving grievance related to CPY activities.
Maintain detailed records of all stakeholder engagement supporting information including minutes of meetings, Attendance Registers, Photo and written records and maintain database hard/Soft copy for sharing with EACOP
Maintaining register of and record all stakeholder concerns, issues and any other stakeholder feedback relating to CPY construction activities for action with CPY Social Manager.
Implement other project related work including but not limited to License related work, such as license surveys and license processing; local resource surveys, such as medical resources, borrow pit surveys; and Temporary land acquisition coordination.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or above.
Minimum 3 years of Chinese translator work experience.
At least HSK 4

Position: Sand blaster & Painter

Job Description:

All field joint blasting operators (open blasting or vacuum blasting) shall know well about the requirements of field joint surface preparation.
Well skilled to operate blasting machine.
All field joint coating operators (manual painting or auto painting) shall know well about the requirements of field joint painting system.
And well skilled to operate manual spraying machine and adjust auto spraying machine.
Master and be familiar with paint performance and blending ratio to ensure product quality.
Independently proficient in spraying equipment operation, repair and maintenance.
Clean and maintain tools, equipment and work areas
Use hand tools, machine tools to clean the surface as per relevant standards and project requirements.
Strengthen self-inspection and mutual inspection to ensure product quality meets standards.

Job Requirements:

Basic mechanical and chemical background
Good English communication skill
Minimum 3 years of painting or relative working experience. 4. preferred hold F class driving permit.

Position: HSE Supervisor

Job Description:

Assist Management in Coating & Insulation HSE Matters
Develop, Implement, and Update HSE programs and Plans
Facilitate internal Auditing and External Auditing as per divisional Audit schedule and ensure tracking and Close out of remedial action
Lead accident/Injury Investigations
Coordinate inspection of project and facility operation and carry out monthly walkthroughs with site Management
Monitor the house keeping Program to consistently improve its standard
Ensure periodical Inspections of various safety and Life saving Equipment, fire fighting equipment, gas monitors, breathing apparatus, etc.
Liaise with municipalities and other relevant organizations to remain informed of the latest safety requirements for the area, reporting Management changes.
Training Employees to meet the HSE requirement in the work place
Provide HSE statistics and report to the Manager and Client Representative

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or above.
NEBOSH Certificate is required.
Minimum 5 years of HSE-related work experience.

Job Description:

Advise and assist Coating supervisor coating & insulation QA/QC matters.
Assistance for QA/QC supervisor to ensure development, implementation and updating of written quality programs and plans.
Coordinate inspections of Units operations and carry out Daily walk-through with site crew Foreman.
Ensure periodical QA/QC inspections for various instrument and equipment etc.
Record daily quality inspection report and Provide QA/QC statistics and report quality activities to Coating supervisor and crew leader Representatives

Master and be familiar with performance and blending ratio to ensure product quality.
Independently proficient in operation, repair and maintenance
operator should strictly follow the repair items on the repair work order and complete the inspection work.
The workstation should be cleaned in a timely manner, and tools and equipment should be neatly placed.
Protective equipment and labor protection equipment must be worn during the painting process.
Strengthen self-inspection and mutual inspection to ensure product quality meets standards.

Position: Electrician

Job Description:

Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment to ensure smooth operation.
Install and test electrical systems and equipment according to technical drawings and safety standards.
