Position: IT Manager
Location: Arusha
This position is responsible for managing all local computer technology and services in the Hotel. The IT Manager ensures the streamlined operation of the department in alignment with the business objectives of the organisation by coordinating, directing, design IT-related activities, as well as providing technical and administrative support for the daily operational activities related to IT. The IT Manager will define and implement IT policies, procedures, best practices and provides hardware and software maintenance, training and consultation.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Information Technology
Microsoft Certified Professional
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert
Cisco Certified Network Associate & Engineer
Experience:
A minimum of 8 years working experience in a senior IT role, preferable in the Hotel sector
Experience of all Microsoft systems & Hotel applications, such as Fidelio, Micros, Opera
Experience in developing & leading a team in the management of IT systems
Proven experience with a wide variety of productivity & business software
Demonstrated experience in managing complex IT projects
Well experienced in managing data network & telecommunications systems
Experience of IT infrastructure technologies, inclusive of security solutions, personal computing, help desk, servers, and printers
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent knowledge of IT general controls, data, cybersecurity, hardware/software systems
Possess strong project management and leadership skills
Ability to break down complicated issues into simplified solutions
Enthusiastic problem solver with exceptional critical & strategic thinking skills
Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to provide strategic direction to a team
Strong initiative, high energy level, demonstrated the ability to motivate & coach people
Ability to effectively coordinate & manage tasks and priorities
