Location: Arusha
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts preferred
Diploma in Food Production or Hospitality Management from a recognised Hospitality School
Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety and Hygiene in Catering
Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace
Experience
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior management role
International experience within a luxury hospitality environment
Experience in East Africa will be a plus but not essential
Experience in implementing food safety & hygiene systems
Experience in implementing HACCP food management system
Proven track record for effective food costing, catering, productivity & workforce management
Demonstrated experience in managing complex situations and new projects
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Highest personal ethical performance standards and strong project management skills
Broad knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health & safety standards
Display exceptional leadership skills and capability to create a positive working environment
Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently and capable of delegating multiple tasks
Ability to break down complicated issues into simplified solutions
Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to provide strategic direction to a team
Strong initiative, high energy level, demonstrated the ability to motivate and coach people

Fluent in English with exceptional communication skills both in written and verbal form
